Service
Our field force acts as the front line of our company, meeting clients on a daily basis, assisting with any difficulties onsite and completing monitoring programmes and remedial works as required. Staff typically start early in the morning and must travel across the region to attend customer sites, usually working in teams of two or three. Weekend and evening work is sometimes required as overtime to enable us to work on systems that are in use during the day.
Work for the service team can be physically demanding, requiring you to be on your feet all day and getting your hands dirty! Health and Safety training is paramount to enable you to conduct cleans, work at heights, and handle chemicals. Responsible and safety-conscious individuals are therefore welcome.
Within the service team there are a number of different roles, each with different functions. If you answer ‘yes’ to these questions then one of our field roles could be the career for you!

Customer Service Technician
Customer Service Technicians are responsible for implementing our water hygiene monitoring contracts. They attend site on a regular basis to monitor temperatures, sample water from water tanks and boilers, and liaise with the customer as required. They are also tasked with completing the legionella Log Book, an important task to demonstrate that all actions onsite are being taken to ensure compliance with the Approved Code of Practice L8 ‘Legionnaires’ Disease – The control of legionella bacteria in water systems’.
Requirements: 5 GCSEs as a minimum. Chemical or Science based degree in some instances
Risk Assessor
Risk Assessors are highly trained and methodical individuals. They must accurately assess and construct schematic diagrams of customer’s water systems and identify any potential risks. Training is an in-depth process that can take anywhere up to a year to complete, depending on the individual’s ability.
Requirements: 5 GCSEs as a minimum. Chemical or Science based degree in some instances
Water Hygiene Technician
A role as a Water Hygiene Technician is probably the most physically demanding position. Technicians attend site to conduct cleans of water tanks and cooling towers, carry out remedial works on pipes and equipment, and install new equipment. Technicians must undergo rigorous health and safety and technical training to provide them with the skills necessary to work at height, work in enclosed spaces (such as water tanks), and to carry out often complex remedial work. A background in plumbing would be beneficial for this role, although training is provided.
Requirements: No formal qualifications required
Air Hygiene Technician
Work as an Air Hygiene Technician is physically demanding, requiring work at height, in confined spaces and manual handling of equipment. This role involves the cleaning and maintenance of mechanical ventilation, kitchen extract and ductwork systems using the latest equipment. Technical and health and safety training are key to this role. Work on weekends and evenings is regularly required as this is when we are able to gain access to systems that are in use at all other periods. Previous knowledge of Air Hygiene systems would be beneficial to this role.
Requirements: No formal qualifications required
