Effective control is something we are very passionate about and we achieve it through a variety of tried and tested approaches. We were involved in Legionella Control when HSE were advocating prevention. We have many years’ experience in many industries to provide a technically correct and commercially viable legionella control programme for any situation. H&S is crucial to the way we work and of primary consideration in everything we do; prioritising the safety of all personnel, the workspace and the environment. We realise that Legionella control is not just a technical discipline; it is inherently a Health and Safety issue. We work with H&S professionals at your workplace to engage as many relevant individuals in the programme as possible.
Better Environmental Practices
Our ISO 14001 accreditation drives control by managing our impact on the environment. The effective use of IT can make a major difference to this impact; minimising usage of fuel, paper and space. Throughout our products and services we are cogniscent of the many impacts we have. We will work to show how our impact can be positive through our involvement in the control programmes.
More Effective Reporting
To provide a holistic view of risk management and identify assets requiring the highest priority we have developed our proprietary Electronic Log Book - UP2DATE. This system provides reports at every level enabling decisions to be made in real time with data for the whole estate, if required. This is one of the next parts of the ripple. The control philosophy is correct and commercially viable. It is designed to engage H&S staff and environmental targets. It then needs to provide data in the most appropriate way for everyone to use.
Better Trained Staff
As accredited Investors in People organisation we place extreme importance on the quality of our staff training. We have devised our own H&S training division and use industry leading concepts. This ensures that we deliver effective e-Learning solutions to you and your staff; raising both awareness and best practice standards. We also provide our acclaimed Legionella courses at a range of convenient venues. We have developed and run accredited IOSH programmes and our training services division, HOW2 Training offers engaging training across a range of H&S disciplines.
More Efficient Data Storage
Linked to the ripples around reporting and control, as well as from a commercial and an environmental perspective, it is no longer responsible business practice to fill valuable business space with archived paper based data. We provide a web-based platform which is a far simpler, more reliable and readily accessible system. The system is flexible and will adapt to store data for any asset. It is used for asbestos records, lift and fire details as well as many more applications.

A centralised digital system of information storage enables all key stakeholders to access information from any location. This saves time, replication and space. This is key to our claim that better control can save you money and each part of the ripple contributes to this process. Ultimately the timely access to your information results in saving one of your most demanding resources – your time.

The effective use of wireless technology enables our experienced teams to introduce significant savings and develop programmes which continually place us at the forefront of Legionella Control. Using Black Box Intelligence we can further develop the control philosophy. Not content with the ripples we have already described around reporting, training, storage and access we have introduced wireless technology to further improve system efficiency. This can further reinforce the control strategy at every level showing better control and reduced costs.
More Efficient Information Exchange and Dissemination
Using the UP2DATE Electronic Log Book and our WebMaster system we can make available any aspect of the system information, from site visit data to lab samples and cleaning certificates – all on demand. This provides the final ripple – remote information in real time from any site.
